About Me
Growing up, I was the girl who was reading in class instead of paying attention to the lesson, and I would spend my free time writing stories in my notebooks. From the moment I learned how to read, I knew that I wanted to share my own stories with the world.
I took every creative writing class I could, starting in middle school and all the way through college. I attended the University of Northern Colorado from 2015 to 2020, where I earned my B.A. in English Liberal Arts with a minor in Writing. During that time, though, the endless essay writing and academic reading burned me out, and I lost complete focus on what mattered most to me.
In recent years, I’ve been re-learning that focus and finding my voice again in my writing, and I’m ready to start sharing my words again with anyone who takes the time to read them. Sharing my art with others is my greatest passion, and Miranda’s Creative is my way of getting my art out there sooner than waiting around for something to be published.
I am a member of BlackBox Art’s Collective in Greeley, which is a community of multi-disciplinary artists who share many of the same values as I do. I also currently work for an online high school dedicated to helping students who struggle with various aspects of life, and I bring writing as a tool to them so that they may find a healthy way to cope with those struggles.
I have two cats, Eris and Alistair, who are my entire world. Without them, getting through each day would be significantly harder.
I am currently 28 years old, and have been working on my first official manuscript since I was about 19 years old. I am going to finish it within the next year or two, but in the meantime, I will continue to write and share pieces of myself here through my blog. Creative writing has always been my safe space, and I am enjoying finding my love and joy for it again. If you are reading this now, I hope you stick around and continue to follow me on my writing journey.
